Personal wardrobe!

Been a while since I blogged, thought I might share with all bits of my wardrobe. Or ensembles that i've put together. I wish i had a better place to take my photos, but I don't so PLEASE BEAR with the horrendous messy backgrounds in most photos!

All comments are really welcome! try not to be too mean tho, pleasE? :D

casual summer.
I LOVE MY BAMBI top from Supre, who's with me?

comments: I love pairing oversized tees with shorts, especially for summer/ spring. It's extremely casual and comfortable yet lets one look put together. Also, oversized tees are always flattering for almost anyone! Add a cute classic print like Bambi, and what's not to love?

Casual day out.
I'm in love with the shade of pink and my tux blazer (will feature a better photo next time).

comments: The pink v-neck long sleeve babydoll is from Victoria's Secret.. i believe it's one of their classic tee designs when autumn/winter rolls on by. So be sure to check that out. Very flattering cut (hides tummy!) I don't know about you, but somehow a blazer always makes an outfit that much more chic smart! If the weather does not get too cold (i suggest spring), just slip on a cotton blazer like the one I have on! I'm also dying to get a more structured blazer soon, any recommendations?

Small night out.
I just loveee bows!

comments: If you're planning for a night out, but the weather's cold and you're not planning on too big a night. There's nothing wrong with ditching that skimpy dress or crazy high heels. I went with comfort over vanity here, but still maintained a good style (hopefully!) I love that my top is slightly oversized but cinched at the back and has a ribbon sash that just ups the cute factor! Since i was wearing a skirt, I decided to go with my boots to cover up more of my legs for warmth. Would u wear this?

Out for a dance with the girls!
understated sexiness with the off-shoulder look!!

comments: I love the shade of dusty pink on my knit dress! Sometimes SEXY is not about revealing it all, your shoulders can do the trick too, babes! I also love how it is bandage-y at the hips, showing off the female curves! If you want to up the sex factor, go with stockings or lace leggings. oohlala! Also, how amazing are nude pumps for matching just about any outfit!

And I'm just gonna end with 3 formal styles that I put on in the past year or so. Open to comments!! :D

--------------------------------

Lastly i've got 2 more photos to show u of earrings I made earlier this year. Very spring and girly, just my style.. hope i find others who also covet this style of mine? :D

Thanks for reading! Till next time~ I'm thinking a post on coloured lenses (:

my duo-toned concave bob.

Hi readers, I've gone on a long long hiatus and now i'm back. I figure I might want to make this a bit more personal than before. So today, you're gonna be able to see some photos of myself... while i blog about my love with (my) hair!

To those who personally know me, they'd know i've tried all kinds of hair! No kidding. From a really really short boy-cut, to long hair, permed hair, short bob...etc. You name it. And usually, i like to go against the norms. (when i permed my hair, only the outer layer was permed, my inside hair was straight. it was also a poofy perm, not the romantic sort.) But the last hairstyle I had was a pretty typical one, tho it looked nice and was easy to maintain hence i've been keeping it for a while..

That's me. long hair. with layers. black, and slightly highlighted with what became red/brown.

In fact, this hairstyle made me look young n all i had to do was just grow it, it wouldn't go out of shape! However, i've been keeping it for a while now, it has gotten really long, the longest strand has probably reached my waist at the back.. But after being in Melbourne for quite a few months, my hair has gotten pretty dry, especially without trimming or treatment.

A photo showing the length and dryness.

The ends are pretty bad! And was always tangling ): When I got back to Singapore, I decided it was time for a trim. But once again, a trip to the salon meant a whole new look! My stylist was new at the salon, but he was SOOO patient with me! (i am the most indecisive at the salon... all the time!! cos i can't decide how to make what i want different, and whether what i come up with is feasible/looks good) We exchanged quite a bit of ideas, especially about me wanting a two-toned look... finally it was decided I was gonna cut it short to get rid of the eeky ends and well, get a totally new look basically! I also picked a blonde/beige that meant no-bleaching. He told me he'd make it non-bleach, i don't know how true that is... (i didn't want more unhealthy hair that was hard to manage!) So here goes...

Looking mighty different!

I got a pretty bright "blonde" highlight on most of my bangs and just a tad at the sides. I reckon it's so orange because I chose not to bleach, if I went with platinum blonde, then i'd definitely have to bleach my hair.. my stylist picked the brown that went along with my highlights. It's awesome!! :D I told him to give me a cut that meant I could leave it out without it sticking out at odd angles. He assured me that at this length and with this weight, I won't have to worry about bits sticking out and it hasn't so far (this has been for 3 months now?), so i'm really happy! :D You might not notice from this photo, but it's a concave bob..

See how the length slopes down towards the front? I love his cutting skills. it's so shapey. haha.

Btw, my fringe is completely blonde save for a thin layer of brown on top, which is why my bangs would look different in every shot. (depending how my brown strands sit at the point in time) So it's really special, and i like special. Btw, the hair now feels smooth n looks healthy too. (i've been trying my best to keep it up too, more on that later.)

My hair has lost its mushroomy shape now since it got longer, i was worried about the blondes when my hair grew out, but it's still alright for now altho the roots are really clear if i push my bangs back..

A slightly side-parted look.

If i want my hair to be even neater, I will usually use my straightener... I'll show u the effects in a future post soon! Also, now i've been using products from Kao Essential Damage Care. Not sure if it's available everywhere, but here's a link: http://www.kao.com/sg/essential/index.html I'm using the "Nuance Airy" line since my hair is now short so "light and bouncy" fits just right. You can use the "Rich Premier" line if u have longer hair!! I've got the shampoo, conditioner and the intensive hair mask! I recommend it considering my dyed hair must be so damaged but remains smooth (: Besides, Xiaxue recommends it too and she has a whole head of bleached hair that still looks awesome! I hope I can maintain my hair lustre even as it grows and grows (:

 ----------------------------------------

Also on a separate note, I'd like to rave about two jade green items i bought recently!! I'm not a usual fan of green, but this shade of green is so awesome!

Check out the nails, and the tee!

Nails: Vintage polish from eyeko!!! NOT to be missed!
My pocket v-neck tee is from Valley girl (aus). Not sure if they've online shopping, but if you're near any valley girl store, you can go get one! It's really cheap, just under AUD10 now and it's mighty comfy! i think it's understatedly pretty/ sexy(if u've got the assets, altho i sadly don't).. but yes comfort! and easy to match :D

Anyway, it was love at first sight for the tee because it SOOOO resembles the sleep tee i saw on Victoria's secret!! Only mine is much cheaper and is less sheer cos it's not a sleep tee, but an everyday tee. See why i think it's sexy now?

You can get the above here. (: Thanks VS!

VS is my absolute favourite place to shop online, but shipping is always a consideration if you're not living in the US. Alright till the next post! And i welcome your comments, really would like to hear from u :D
